eHosting DataFort and Double-Take Software have formed a partnership to deliver a hosted service for data and server protection for customers in the GCC.

The two will offer a service to provide real-time data replication from the customer's servers to a hosted disaster recovery site, to protect critical data, and to offer other services such as workload back-up, workload moving, and high availability.

The service will be available for Windows and Linux-based servers, and can also accommodate virtualized workloads running on VMware Vsphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Yasser Zeineldin, CEO, eHosting DataFort, said: "Partnering with Double-Take will provide customers a protective blanket to recover business-critical data and applications such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint in both physical and virtual environments.

"Double-Take's innovative approach to data recovery, and focus on universal data protection provides unparalleled expertise and superior technology, ensuring peace of mind to customers," he added.

Wouter Vancoppenolle, Senior Sales and Business Development Manager Middle East & Africa, Double-Take, said: "eHosting DataFort brings significant reach into the market as one of the leaders in managed hosting, having world class data centres, suite of comprehensive managed services and 24/7 managed operations.
