Nokia Comes With Music to Middle East

Nokia has finally released its Comes with Music service in the Middle East, which will be available in the region next month along with its new X6 handset.

By purchasing the new Nokia X6 16 GB Comes With Music edition, users will have access to a music catalog of an estimated four million tracks from the biggest international and regional labels that they can download for free for 12 months, and use across multiple devices including their computer, laptop and MP3 players. This includes albums and tracks from Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music, EMI Music, Rotana, Mazzika, and many more. The content is said to cover a cross section of Western and Arabic music, along with Indian, Pakistani, Filipino and other world music catalogues.

The X6 comes with a 3.2" touch display, 16GB of memory, a 5MP camera and a battery life that can play up to 35 hours of music. It is expected to reach stores in the region in the first week of March for approximately $600 (AED 2,200).

So after the year is complete, the licenses do not expire and you can continue to enjoy all of your music," said Jake Larsen, head of Music, Nokia Middle East and Africa. 

The Middle East launch of the service now covers eleven regional countries - Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestinian Territories ,Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

This brings the total number of countries Comes with Music is available in to twenty seven including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Spain and Russia. The service is still not available to Nokia fans in the United States and several other key developed markets.
