Almasa IT Distribution has added a new name to its enterprise portfolio after confirming a tie-up with content security appliances specialist WatchGuard.
The deal gives Almasa the right to distribute WatchGuard's complete range of security solutions throughout the Middle East and Africa.
Sajid Sarwar, VP for finance and operations at Almasa, believes WatchGuard's product line-up is a good fit with its distribution portfolio.
"This agreement does not only reflect our continued focus on enhancing customer value by providing our channel partners with a wider choice of products and solutions, but contributes to our objective of extending our geographical coverage," he stated.
"I am sure that our in-depth knowledge of the regional channel partner infrastructure combined with the expertise of our sales and marketing force will be a major contributor to Watchguard's success in the region," he added.
Fabrizio Croce, WatchGuard's regional manager, said both companies had similar business objectives. "I am sure that this relationship will result in beneficial partnership for years to come," he stated.
WatchGuard claims to work with more than 15,000 partners around the globe, but while it has offices across Europe it has no direct local presence in the Middle East.
