Microsoft has launched a new wireless keyboard that weighs less than a pound and caters to changing home office environments.

The Arc keyboard is designed to "look and feel like it belongs with other objects in the home", small enough to move around and convenient to use with laptops.

"The design tenets that we looked to for the Arc Keyboard were simplicity and crisp softness, creating an aesthetic for this product that is casual and sophisticated at the same time," said Armagan Demir, head of Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division, Middle East. "We drew our design inspiration directly from the places where we envision this product will be used so it perfectly blends with existing home accessories."

The device includes a small snap-in Nano transceiver that can remain plugged in to the computer at all times or magnetically snapped in the bottom of the keyboard for storage.

The Microsoft Arc Keyboard has an estimated retail price of AED 249 in the United Arab Emirates and comes with a three-year limited hardware warranty.
