ITQAN rolls out Microsoft ERP for NIC ITQAN's eKawader adds value to the Microsoft Dynamics implementation, says Al Jabi.

The National Investment Corporation (NIC) of Abu Dhabi has rolled out Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP, to help it to improve financial management and processes.

The ERP solution, which was deployed by ITQAN Al-Bawardi, will help to address issues of access to financial data related to operations, and low visibility on project staging and inappropriate tracking of assets for NIC.

The holding company, which has developments in retail and hospitality, wanted to gain greater control over core accounting and business management, including financial analysis and reporting, asset management and other functions. The project also includes ITQAN's bespoke eKawader solution for HR and payroll.

Abdulla Al Saadi, NIC managing director commented: "As a market leader in the field of investment in Abu Dhabi, it was only apt for NIC to have an ERP solution that facilitates how we manage all our finances and operations. We were looking for a solution that would allow reduction in administrative tasks and other unproductive repetitiveness, and at the same time is user-friendly and comprehensive so it gets the support from users in order to make full use of the system."

"The business objective of this whole project is to basically elevate NIC employees' performance by allowing them to focus on the essentials of their jobs. We aimed to have an IT solution that will help us achieve that by increasing productivity and creating overall efficiency. We are satisfied with the turnout of this project, and are confident that the solutions will benefit NIC and bring about a higher ROI on the long run" added Sherif Tohami, NIC IT Manager.

ITQAN Al-Bawardi has also supplied its own eKawader solution, an add-on to Microsoft Dynamics, which provides HR and payroll software which is compliant with UAE labour laws and regulations. eKawader includes functions such as leave management, recruitment, time attendance, payroll and ticketing, and was developed specifically by ITQAN for the local market.

Feras Al Jabi, general manager of ITQAN said: "An added value of eKawader is the smooth and unparalleled integration and common user interface with other Microsoft Great Plains modules such as General Ledger, Payables Management and Receivables Management, which consequently makes it easier to use and manage.

"ITQAN's edge has always been in its software solutions and implementations, and our Microsoft implementations in specific made us an expert in this field. We have been recognized by Microsoft numerous times in this regard, and just recently named as a finalist for the Microsoft Dynamics implementations at the Microsoft World Partner Conference," he added.
