Sage makes play for Kuwaiti software market Vikram Suri says Sage is aiming to record a 20% growth in ERP sales and 30% growth in CRM sales in Kuwait by 2010.

Sage has expanded its partnership with Kuwait-based Eastern Solutions to include the distribution of its ‘Accpac ERP' and ‘Sage CRM' solutions in the country.

The software vendor is hopeful of seeing double-digit growth in both product lines during the next two years and believes Eastern Solutions is the company to help it achieve that given its "excellent track record" of selling Sage in Kuwait.

"We believe that our partnership with Eastern Solutions will help us spread the word with regard to the industry-leading features of our ERP and CRM applications across Kuwait, which will help us hit our sales goals within this emerging IT market," said Vikram Suri, managing director at Sage Middle East.

Eastern Solutions will celebrate its eighth year in the market this year and the company's sales and marketing manager, Aladdin Obaid, believes the expansion of its partnership with Sage will open opportunities with end-users looking to upgrade their business applications.  

"With the inclusion of these pioneering business solutions to our product portfolio, we can easily differentiate Eastern Solutions from any other solutions provider in Kuwait, while giving an even stronger boost to Sage's presence in the country," proclaimed Obaid.

Eastern Solutions traditionally specialises in voice and data products, selling equipment from vendors such as Polycom, Astaro, Globitel and Cisco.
