The range is targeted at consumers and professionals, and includes the U350 and G550, netbooks such as the S10-2, S12 and All-in-Ones such as the A600. Idea products include features such as longer battery life, larger hard drives for storing media, Dolby sound and wide screen displays.
Ralf Jordan, Lenovo's executive director and general manager of Lenovo Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Turkey added: "The current development of the Egyptian IT market is very encouraging and is the reason why we are introducing the new "Idea" product range to the country. Users are looking for thinner and lighter PCs with enhanced features and reliable technology that could provide them with excellent performance. The "Idea" line meets these requirements and offers on top a great design to an affordable price, and a breakthrough experience, thanks to its breakthrough features."
"The IT sector in Egypt is rapidly growing thanks to the government's adaptation to several initiatives such as ‘Computer For Every Student' and ‘Computer for Every Home'. With the ongoing infrastructure projects and the government support to IT developments, we believe Egypt will continue to grow into one of the key regional markets for IT vendors who seek to grow their business," said Khaled Kamel, Lenovo's general manager Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan.
