Authorised Mac dealer Pro Technology has added to its Apple accessories portfolio by inking a deal to become the exclusive distributor of UK-based consumer electronics supplier Elonex's iGame product family.

Pro Technology, which is one of around five ‘Apple authorised resellers' operating in the UAE, is licensed to sell the product range throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

iGame is Elonex's "next generation" iPod dock created for browsing and playing downloadable media content through a TV screen. The device serves as a motion-sensitive games machine and a versatile media centre, according to the consumer electronics vendor.

"Once iPod is docked into iGame, the user is free to choose from their collection of music, movies, photos or TV shows and play or watch them on the TV rather than on a tiny iPod screen," said Elonex in a statement announcing the tie-up. "Moreover, iGame is a motion controlled games console that comes packed with 10 free games."

iGame will initially be made available through Pro Technology's EVO showrooms in Dubai from December onwards, retailing for AED585 (US$160).

Pro Technology manages Apple sales through both its printing and AV solutions division and EVO retail showrooms. The EVO branches are mainly focused on Apple and HP equipment, with accessories from supporting brands.
