Sage Software has been awarded an ERP project with Trouvay & Cauvin Gulf, a specialist in piping projects based in the UAE.

The complex ERP deployment will introduce a wide range of features and solutions to help Trouvay & Cauvin to manage many aspects of delivering projects to customers, as well as have better insight and control of its business processes.

Sage's ERP X3 solution is being installed for Trouvay & Cauvin, with a centralised system which will also be available to users via a web interface.

The company manufacturers and supplies a wide range or material for piping projects, so the ERP solution includes a number of functions which will help to manage different stages of the project. The solution will include systems to ensure that structured part numbers are created and that the user does not agree to sell a product that cannot physically be manufactured or sourced, while a vessel and container tracking system will allow the company to track parts.

A sophisticated sales enquiry workbench function will allows more efficient project costing analysis and tracking for end-users and within specific time frames, and the application will let end-users to see all purchase, customer, and inter-company or inter-site orders relating to any enquiry.

Sage ERP X3 also includes embedded runtimes for Business Objects and Crystal Reports, for more effective reporting and analysis, and also has links to MS Office solutions.

Through Sage ERP X3, we are moving towards a complete shift from working on multiple applications and benefiting from a fully integrated system that provides controls to help ensure the quality of information being entered into our system."

"This is our first major Sage ERP X3 implementation in the region, and while it is a very complex system that aims for far reaching benefits and implications for the customer, we are progressing tremendously and are efficiently dealing with the challenges. The host of benefits this system will provide Trouvay & Cauvin Gulf is further enhanced by its simple design, look and feel across the available modules, which makes it more intuitive for end-users to operate, without reducing the functionality and control available to the Finance Managers, Operational Managers and IT Managers. We are looking forward to the completion of this implementation, which will afford excellent advantages for our client," concluded Vikram Suri, Managing Director, Sage Software - Middle East.

The first stage of the project is due for completion by the end of the year.
