Riyadh-based reseller IT Security Training & Solutions (I(TS)2) has gained a Cisco Master Security Specialisation from Cisco, underscoring its ability to sell, deploy and support the vendor's high-end network security solutions.

The 130-strong outfit, which also has a subsidiary in Jordan, met a series of stringent requirements in three main categories - technology capabilities, sales expertise and Cisco lifecycle services - in order to earn the accreditation.

It also had to provide customer references that document Cisco-prescribed design and deployment capabilities and supply evidence that it has the infrastructure to support a full menu of lifecycle services offerings.

"Internet access and applications including email and e-commerce have become the oxygen most companies depend on for their business survivability," stated CEO Samer Omar. "At I(TS)2 we realise that specialising in security with partners like Cisco better prepares us to help our customers meet their business objectives."

Edison Peres, VP and chief go-to-market officer for worldwide channels at Cisco, says the authorisation is proof that partners have the credentials to provide high-end services.

"The Cisco Master Security Specialisation is designed to recognise resale channel partners who have taken the steps to be able to deliver a self-defending network consisting of integrated, collaborative and adaptive security solutions and full lifecycle services," said Peres.
