ITE Distribution gets wise with Sage Middle East Sage’s Vikram Suri welcomes Shams Jafery and ITE on board as a distribution partner.

ITE Distribution has bolstered its non-hardware portfolio by inking an agreement with business software provider Sage. The agreement hands ITE the rights to sell Sage's Peachtree and ACT solutions to Middle East customers.

ITE's duties as Sage's new partner will extend to the full distribution and support of the product lines, encompassing launches, stocking, in-store merchandise and channel development.

News of the tie-up comes just a few months after ITE landed a contract with Microsoft that includes the distribution of its off-the-shelf software.

Shams Jafery, director at ITE Distribution, believes the addition of Sage is a further boost to the company's credentials.

"We are very excited to include Sage Software's products to our portfolio, given their excellent features and the host of benefits it can offer to regional businesses," he stated.

"We are looking forward to the opportunities this partnership will open up for both Sage Software and ITE Distribution, and we are committed to helping our new partner gain a larger share of the regional market," said Jafery.

Sage claims the widening of its distribution channel reflects the "high demand" that it is seeing for business and contact management applications in the region. It is reliant on the distribution channel to market its products to the reseller and retail communities, as well as to carry out technical training.
