SAP will host its SAP Forum event, to bring together customers, partners and SAP executives in Dubai on 3rd and 4th November.

The event, which will be held under the theme of ‘See Your Way Clear: Strategies for Success in the New Reality', will focus on how SAP can bring transparency to business operations, along with events for SAP end users and academics.

The SAP Forum is targeted at executives, IT decision makers and business managers, and will feature sessions from SAP executives and previews of new solutions from the software company.

Sergio Maccotta, managing director, SAP Middle East and Africa commented: "Dubai has been chosen to host the MENA flagship forum for 2009 highlighting the strategic importance SAP places on the region. Based on the specific needs of Middle East companies, SAP can truly work with its customers, prospects, and partners to discuss how technology enables companies to meet the ever increasing need to be more transparent and accountable."

The event will also include the third SAP Users Group-Middle East & North Africa (SUG-MENA) Executive Exchange, an independent forum for SAP customers in the region to discuss best practice and other customer issues.

"With a large number of SAP customers in the region members of SUG-MENA, the Forum provides an ideal platform and strong voice to resolve challenges and drive the future direction of SAP from a customer-focused perspective," said Salem Al Angari, president of SUG-MENA.

SAP Forum will also host an SAP Student Participation Program which will involve academics and around 40 students from universities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE,l which is intended to create links between SAP and the academic sector.

Jeffrey Word, vice president of Product Strategy, director of the Center for Business Network Transformation, SAP AG said: "To support the growth and development of our customers and partners in the region, SAP is continuously striving to foster future generations of business and IT professionals. The student program allows us to reach out and engage with some of the most talented students in the Middle East to build the foundations for continued customer success."

I am a student at Jubail Industrial College in Saudi Arabia. I have participated in the event for University Excellence Meets SAP Program. It was an amazing experience.I got many advantages from the event. I have got the chance to meet and discuss with SAP developers, partners, customers and other students like me. also I learned much about SAP such as SAP is not a software company but it is a business automation company, how it is an ecosystem and what it can do for business companies to handle their processes smoothly, easily and faster. Realy I am glad to participate. Thanks for SAP for giving me this chance to prove myself in a real business meeting.
