IT security firm McAfee is gearing up to boost its presence in the Middle East region, as it broadens the scope of its products and services that are designed to protect businesses and consumers.

Greg Day, Principal Security Analyst, McAfee, says that the firm is evolving as a security company and is no longer just concerned with rolling out anti-virus software, but is looking to protect businesses and consumers across a wider area.

He says that McAfee is looking at four areas; infrastructure, networks, risk and compliance, and data.

Day adds that the "crown jewels" of a business is often the intellectual data. With an increasing amount of attention paid to cloud storage of data, it raises more questions about the storage of vital information.
