One in five people will become a victim of cyber crime - that’s the stark warning from security vendor Symantec, which has been giving visitors to GITEX the first glimpse of its Norton 2010 products.

Norton Internet Security 2010 and Norton AntiVirus 2010 leverage a new model of security, codenamed Quorum, to attain what Symantec believes is unmatched detection of new malware. “One in five people will become a victim of cyber crime,” warns Con Mallon, Symantec’s Regional Product Marketing Director. “We know that hackers don’t destroy computers, they destroy lives.”
