IT distributor Logicom has been teaming up with some of its senior vendor partners this week to show visiting reseller customers how they can benefit from the comprehensive solutions portfolio it now offers.

The company, which is listed in Cyprus and has offices throughout the Middle East region, says the investments it has made in GITEX this year are all based on strengthening partner relationships.

Michael Papaeracleous, Executive Director of Distribution at Logicom, who has travelled over from Lebanon to meet with partners and customers, says it has been an opportunity to give visitors a taste of the brands that it can offer.

“Cisco and Cisco Small Business are central to our go-to-market strategy in the Gulf and we have a number of smart designs on show, as well as value applications such as Stonevoice,” he explains. “We are also happy to host Kingston and Trend Micro at the stand and our joint teams are doing a good job of showing off the latest products and solutions.”

While Logicom’s networking distribution credentials are there for all to see, the company is also a major Microsoft distributor and has been working hard to drum up interest ahead of this week’s launch of Windows 7.

“Our Microsoft team is very busy giving Windows 7 demos at the stand, and at GITEX Shopper we are very busy with our HP offers, which are all ready to go with Windows 7 at launch,” says Papaeracleous. “Also, an exciting development for us is our developing relationship with Intel in education and we are taking the opportunity at GITEX to show the Classmate PC to education-focused resellers from across the region.”
