Innova, a leading Turkish IT solutions provider, is exhibiting at GITEX for the first time as part of its efforts to expand its operations into the Middle East market.

The company, which has several high profile clients on its roster including TURK Telecom, Qatar's Ministry of Interior, and Saudi Telecom, hopes to create a market in the Middle East for applications that enable customers to undertake all their financial transactions through their mobile.

"Essentially, our mobile applications enable you to have the bank in your pocket and carry out all your usual transactions such as cash transfer, payment of your bills and so on," says Alpasian Tomus, business development coordinator at  Innova.

"This is very common in Europe and Turkey but not popular in the Middle East although most people here have a mobile phone. There is a lot of potential for this application in the Middle East. We provide an application that must be loaded onto your mobile phone. The application creates a secure connection between your phone and the bank and allows you to carry out your financial transactions safely. We are negotiating with banks to offer this service to their customers," he adds.

The business development coordinator says GITEX has provided it with the perfect platform.

"This is our first time here and we have been very pleased with the leads we have received. In fact, by the end of the show, we would have concluded some significant deals. We have been talking mainly with banks and telecom operators," confides Tomus.
