Bigger stand for Dubai eGovt

Dubai eGovernment is back at GITEX Technology Week again, with an expanded to presence to host twenty-eight different government entities with it at its stand.

Dubai eGovernment is back at GITEX Technology Week again, with an expanded to presence to host twenty-eight different government entities with it at its stand.

The Dubai eGovernment stand is split into four separate sections - infrastructure, justice and security, economic development, and social development - to demonstrate the various services offered by the eGovernment. The stand also includes workstations with demonstations of some of the services available through www.dubai.ae.

For GITEX, Dubai eGovernment has launched a dedicated portal, www.gitex.dubai.ae, to show off the services of participating entities, and will also release a special edition of its e4all magazine including GITEX coverage.

Ahmed Mohammed Bin Humaidan, Director General, Dubai eGovernment, said: "This year's edition of GITEX will serve as a perfect platform for several of Dubai's government departments and authorities to showcase their eService offerings under the Dubai eGovernment umbrella. We look forward to working closely with other government entities in Dubai to take the emirate's eServices framework to a higher level of efficiency and excellence, with the overriding goal of increasing awareness about eServices."

Another feature of the Dubai eGovernment stand is the return of the ‘Best Online Customer' promotion. Users of the Dubai eGovernment portal, who access selected services from 19th-22nd of October will go into a draw, with the chance of winning prizes including cash prizes worth AED 2,500, tours within Dubai, safari tours, three-day stay at five-star hotels in Dubai, and electronic appliances and gadgets.
