While GULFCOMMS gives leading technology companies the ideal platform to wow the crowds with their latest innovations, it also gives some of the industry’s unsung heroes a chance to rub shoulders with some of their better-known counterparts.

One such company is distribution specialist Supplies Depot, based in Sharjah, UAE. The company, which plays a pivotal role in the IT and telecoms sector by bringing important kit to the end users that need it, intends to use the event to look for more manufacturers and “diversify into other sectors of the industry” according to Chief Executive Officer Mahdi Panahi.

“We have therefore got three new manufacturers on board and have started to stock their products in our facilities in Sharjah, UAE. We have also started our move to a larger facility which will be completed before GITEX 09,” he says.

Supplies Depot will showcase products from its structured cabling division as well as from its cabling products division.

“We also have a second stand at the show for our imaging supplies division which will be under the name of ‘Uninet Imaging’ which is our largest supplier for that division.

“In the structured cabling division, we will have copper and fibre cables and their connectivity products for local and metropolitan area data networks,” Panahi says.

“In the cabling products division, we will have cables for different applications including audio/video, instrumentation, fsecurity, CCTV, wireless installations, and GSM cellular networks,” he adds.
