Sixty senior employees from U.S. and Gulf Arab state organizations, representing a mix of IT and business leaders, participated in a series of regional Gartner workshops on customer experience management, uncovering valuable insights.

Gartner held a series of workshops in 2008 on customer experience management (CEM) in the US, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. These workshops revealed fewer differences than expected in the initiatives and perceived challenges associated with CEM from region to region. Attendees collectively tended to concentrate on specific subsets of CEM, thus limiting its impact and leaving opportunities for more innovative organizations to pursue competitive advantages.
