Structured cabling provider Superior Technologies has earmarked GITEX Technology Week to announce a new partnership with Chinese vendor Fibre Home.

"Fibre Home is the second largest Chinese company in the field of data and telecoms and offers a whole range of optical comms transmission platforms, as well as optical fibre cables and technologies," explains Emad Al Hasouni, Managing Director at Superior.

Although Fibre Home is a relatively large company in its market, turning over more than US$800m last year, the partnership with Superior Technologies will be its first foray into the Middle East. Al Hasouni says the addition of Fibre Home should open up a new base of clients for it to address.

"It will be like a turning point for us. We will get bigger and develop a different profile of customers on the telecoms side whereas, so far, we have been mainly focused on the commercial side," says Al Hasouni.

Superior Technologies, which is based in Dubai, made a similar announcement at GITEX last year when it signed Warren and Browne to its line-up. Al Hasouni says that the firm has since been able to capitalise on the customer leads that it developed at the event for Warren and Browne's solutions.

The company also claims that it has "substantial financial resources" which have allowed it to better serve its customers in the midst of the current climate. Superior offers a selection of connectivity products from vendors such as Leoni-Kerpen, SMP Data Communications and PatchSee's products.
