Pearson VUE is participating at GITEX Technology Week to raise its profile in the Middle East and explain how its computer-based test and examination solutions can benefit organisations from different market sectors.

The US-based company, which has operations around the globe, produces a full suite of services from test development to data management, and delivers exams through the world's most comprehensive and secure network of test centres in 165 countries.

"We will be coming to GITEX to meet new prospects, raise awareness of Pearson VUE and computer-based assessment in general and bring on board new test centres in the Middle East," reveals Suzana Lopes, VP Sales and Marketing EMEA at Pearson VUE.

Lopes says that one of the projects that Pearson VUE will be highlighting at GITEX is its recent tie-up with the Dubai Road and Transport Authority. The pair began a project earlier this year to deliver the world's most high-tech driver testing system as part of the RTA's vision to provide safe and smooth transport.

The project marks the first time that such a highly sophisticated driver testing system has been delivered in the region, particularly given the multilingual support element that is included.

Although Pearson VUE boasts an established presence throughout many of the major European and Middle East markets, it regards GITEX as a key date in its regional events calendar.

"It is an ideal opportunity to meet potential new test centre clients and key contacts in the public and private sector who are considering enhancing their existing test programmes," admits Lopes. "The Middle East is a critical region to our test centre network."
