Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices are finding their way into more and more households. The LinkStation Quad is one of Buffalo’s latest home-aimed models and is available with three different storage capacities
Pros: When it works you can share files over a network that are already on the drive or copy to the drive.
Cons: Buggy firmware constantly has to dealt with like updating the date and time which is never right no matter how many times you call tech support and try to fix it. Also doesnt work with any printers. One of the features was that you could plug a printer into the back of the buffalo drive and use the printer across the network. This used to work on my system untill they came out with a new firmware to fix the date and time bug now my printer doesnt work and tech support has no clue. They try to shift the blame at first untill I told them it used to work until the new firmware came out. Its a bit expensive for a 1TB drive, there are alot of cheaper ways to go and less headache. This drive isnt ready for mass use yet.
