First it was Google with its comic book introduction to the Chrome browser, and now Cisco is getting in on the act with a flash-based webisode comic to promote security solutions.
The Realm features a parallel world where Cisco security solutions have come to life to fight web threats (or something) and is intended to show how Cisco engineers and markets its security solutions. The costumed super heroes are supposed to demonstrate different function of the solutions - and being a very web 2.0 campaign, the heroes even have their own Facebook pages...
But while Cisco seem quite excited about the new campaign, its not the first time that superheroes have been used to sell security solutions - step forward Norton Fighter - scaring small children and flogging solutions for Symantec in Japan since 2007.
