That's what our spot poll asked, and our survey said - most of you are.

42% of respondents said they were exhibiting at the show, while a further 28% are in the IT industry and going along for work. There's another 14% who are attending just out of interest, and 7% who would like to be there but can't. That just leaves the 8% that aren't interested. (and not referring to the companies who said no thanks this year, but more of that another time)

Good to hear from the Trade Centre yesterday that they have taken more steps to help with the traffic problems at Gitex - namely 60+ shuttle buses to hotels and malls, and a couple of park-and-ride schemes that will stretch as far afield as Creek Park - in case you fancy a detour for some paintballing or a ride on the cable car perhaps?

The traffic is definitely something that needs sorting out... I've noticed that when you mention Gitex now to people who aren't involved in the industry, their usual reaction has changed. A few years back it was always 'Gitex? Are there any bargains? I might go have a look' and you'd have to explain that they should go to Shopper instead and stop clogging up the trade centre. Now it's inevitably 'Gitex? I best cancel meetings next week, the roads will be full up..'
