Infrastructure management software vendor CA has shifted the regional sales manager position from Dubai to Turkey position from Dubai to Turkey following a recent change of heads at the top.

Peter Kwisthout, who previously oversaw the vendor’s regional activities from the UAE, left the company last month to join expansive IT group MDS Holdings, leading the company to promote Cetin Uygun in his place.

Uygun, who has been the country manager for CA’s Turkish operation up to now, will run the regional business from the vendor’s Istanbul base.

“Cetin will continue to be based in Turkey,” confirmed a spokesperson for CA Middle East. “He will act as regional sales manager for the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa region, as well as continuing with his role as country manager for Turkey.”

Uygun’s new role will see him assume responsibility for driving local sales through CA’s partner network and managing the vendor’s sales, pre-sales and support functions. He will report directly to senior VP Gilbert Lacroix.

The exit of Kwisthout and subsequent re-jig comes barely a year after CA restructured its entire sales model in the Middle East by funnelling all business through its key enterprise partners.
