Components distributor Empa has nabbed the award for ‘outstanding support’ in the GCC region at a recent Intel channel conference.

The accolade, which the distributor claims is recognition of its efforts in expanding Intel’s brand visibility and sales in the market, was presented to business unit manager Ajay Tozhappa at the CPU vendor’s Distributor Enabling Conference in Greece.

Empa sells Intel products in Jordan, Yemen, Egypt and the GCC, including Saudi Arabia. It is one of three companies with pan-Middle East distribution rights alongside Logicom and Mindware.

Shahood Khan, director of marketing and sales at Dubai-based Empa, insists the award reflects its “commitment” to providing high-quality services to the channel.

“Moreover, the region’s growing demand for quality IT-based products has encouraged Empa to install first-class management systems to ensure the partnership is a success,” stated Khan. “Intel’s latest products and services, combined with Empa’s wide distribution base and business acumen have translated to high sales and successful brand marketing throughout the MENA region.”

In addition to Intel, Empa carries products from vendors such as Fujitsu, Iomega, Intel, Kingston, LaCie, Philips and Samsung.
