SAP has announced that Jaleel Holdings is rolling out the German-based company’s ERP system.

United Arab Emirates-based Jaleel Holding is the parent company of a number of wholesale providers, including Jaleel Wholesale Point, Jaleel FMCG Distribution and J Mart Supermarkets.

According to a statement released by SAP, the new ERP solution for Jaleel is being introduced to automate business processes and facilitate expansion plans.

“The UAE’s fast moving consumer goods market remains one of the most competitive in the world, and SAP has proven industry specific solutions,” said Abdul Gafoor Kunhu Mohamed, executive director at Jaleel Holdings.

“SAP solutions will enable us to better manage our inventory holding and product range, and allow for transparency and improved control measures throughout the organization. SAP has the right technologies and the relevant industry experience to provide a competitive edge to our company,” adds Sameer Kunhu Mohamed, managing director at Jaleel Holdings.

SAP claim that the new solution, once deployed by Jaleel, will allow company executives to make real-time decisions regarding stock, inventory, product delivery and business volumes.

“Jaleel Holdings is growing remarkably fast, in line with the UAE and region’s exponential growth,” said Sergio Maccotta, managing director of SAP MENA.

“FMCG companies like Jaleel need to be flexible and agile in order to respond quickly to customer needs, and our powerful solutions will help to streamline day to day operations while promoting transparency across the group,” added Maccotta.
