Vodafone Qatar is using Oracle Communications technology to support its roll out of services in the country.

The mobile operator has deployed a stack of Oracle solutions to handle customer data and services, and to enable Vodafone to launch new offerings and collect revenues as quickly as possible.

Oracle and partner EDS deployed the solutions in just six months, ahead of the operator’s soft launch in March this year. Solutions deployed include Oracle Siebel CRM, Communications Billing and Revenue Management, Communications Service Activation and Application Integration Architecture for Communications, plus Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware.

Adrian Dilworth, CIO of Vodafone Qatar commented: “Our vision is to become the most loved, number one brand in Qatar within three years. To support this vision, we need to remain innovative and competitive, and offer unrivalled customer service. In such a competitive industry, these challenges are made even more difficult, but thanks to Oracle and EDS, we have within only six months implemented a flexible, scalable systems infrastructure that lets us rapidly launch innovative mobile services and delight our customers.”

“Within six months, Vodafone Qatar has launched one of the world’s most innovative platforms for acquiring and serving millions of subscribers. With this infrastructure in place, the company is in the position to launch highly lucrative, next-generation services in a matter of days,” said Tim Porter, vice president of sales, EMEA, Oracle Communications.
