Symsoft, a Swedish supplier of real-time charging, messaging and mobile data solutions, has launched its Nobill MVNO product in the Middle East.

The company said that Nobill, which it describes as “a complete platform” for charging, billing, provisioning and value added services delivery, was selected for use by the first MVNO to start operations in the Middle East.

Friendi Mobile became the region’s first MVNO in late April, when it launched mobile services in Oman, using the network of Oman Mobile.

The Nobill MVNO product is designed to aid virtual mobile operators by allowing them to create campaigns, product offers, and value added services more quickly than is usually possible. For example, the platform allows MVNOs to promote new services and reward different subscriber actions such as account refills, high usage and use of a specific service.

Nobill MVNO supports voice and non-voice services including SMS, MMS, GPRS and 3G. The product is tailored for mobile virtual operators that want “to have full flexibility and control” over the creation and delivery of their services, according to Symsoft.

Bogdan Sacuiu, general manager, Symsoft Middle East and Africa, said: “We are pleased to have completed this significant milestone in the Middle East and to assist our customer to create a piece of history by launching the region’s first ever MVNO operations.” He added that the company plans to continue its expansion in the region.
