Lebanese IT distributor PCDealNet has signed a contract with Leviton that will see it introduce the US-based electrical vendor’s hardware products to the local market.

PCDealNet will promote Leviton’s structured cabling equipment and network infrastructure solutions in a move that represents the vendor’s first steps into Lebanon following the launch of a Middle East subsidiary last year.

Ramzi Nassif, managing director at Leviton Middle East, says the company is keen to take advantage of PCDealNet’s extensive channel network, which spans more than 160 in-country resellers.

“In order to be as dominant in the Middle East market as we are in the US, Leviton must forge strong partnerships with leading distributors and systems integrators in the region,” he stated. “PCDealNet has an established network of value added resellers, dealers and retailers and a strong team of experts with local experience.”

Leviton has already spent more than US$2m on ramping up its Middle East business, signing new partners and increasing its headcount. It recently appointed Shady Youssef as sales manager for Lebanon and various Gulf countries.

PCDealNet, which belongs to Lebanese technology group ITG Holdings, regards Leviton as a strong addition to a portfolio that already includes APC, Cisco, Epson, HP and Toshiba.

“We believe in establishing partnerships with industry-leading vendors and our partnership with Leviton will greatly enhance our product portfolio and offerings to our partners and customers,” said general manager Ayona Amhaz.
