The nomination deadline for the 2009 NME Innovation Awards close in just over a week and we’ve already seen a steady groundswell of entries arrive, but there’s still time for a lot more.

The region is full of vendors and users alike who have success stories to tell and there has never been a better opportunity to do so.

If you’re still considering whether or not to enter the awards then take a look at the Awards website to get a better idea of the categories involved - with 18 awards up for grabs, there’s sure to be one (or more) that’s relevant.

For those still unsure of the nomination process here is a quick run through of how it works.

The 2009 NME Innovation Awards will follow the same format as the awards ceremony that took place in Dubai last March. Once again, the emphasis will be on honouring the projects, people, suppliers and service providers that have excelled in the regional networking sector over the past 12 months, with prizes awarded to the very best implementations, vendor offerings and key individuals and organisations in the market.

Awards due to be presented at this year’s gala event span end-user implementation, company and product categories, and winners will be judged by a team of judges that comprise of premier networking professionals and analysts who have worked in and studied the region’s IT adoption and usage over many years.

As such, the NME Innovation Awards 2009 will recognise the individuals and organisations that are truly responsible for driving standards and increasing adoption of network infrastructures across the region.

The back-end of 2008 and the first part of 2009 has seen a number of unique new challenges emerge. This event gives attendees an ideal opportunity to put their rivalries aside for the evening — or at least until all the awards have been given out — and mingle with their peers.

You can download a nomination form from the official awards website, which can be found at: http://www.itp.net/events/nmeawards/

If you're uncertain about the content you need to include in your nomination, or think you simply require a few pointers to help you on your way, then just click on ‘Nomination Guidelines' on the awards website menu and follow the details.

Companies are free to nominate themselves and enter as many categories as they wish, providing a separate nomination form is completed for each entry.

So get nominating now…and good luck!
