HP has released its Mini 2140 netbook in the Middle East for professionals that need a powerful yet portable device while travelling.

Weighing just 1.19 kilograms, the mini-notebook comes with a large 10.1 inch scratch-resistant LED display, a comfortably spaced keyboard and a variety of hard drive and connectivity options. The device underwent more than 95,000 hours of testing to ensure its performance is up to standard.

It also comes with a lightweight all-aluminium case and a protective clear coating on the device’s keyboard. According to company claims, the keyboard coating – HP DuraKeys – offers 50 times more resistance to visible wear than keyboards without it.

Prices for the new HP Mini 2140 start at AED 1,899 with a range of accessories also available.

I've had the same issue with Lenovo re availability. They marketed their X301 model two weeks ago and hado only 25 stock in country. None of the dealers know when new stock will be in, and the one that does have stock (one piece) hiked up the price by 1,800 Dirhams to 9,500 Dirhams. Come on Lenovo, get your act together!

What is the sense of doing the marketing when NONE of the dealers/retailers have no idea about the launch of this particular model and neither they know when it would be available !!!! Aggressive marketing campaign must be backed by stock availability.......
