Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) recently hosted 60 Dubai high school students to give them an insight into the latest developments in technology.

The two day program, which was conducted in association with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s IT Education Project (ITEP), included a tour of the DSOA site, a visit to the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai campus and workshops and seminars on technology.

Haidar Ali Director of People & Business Excellence at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, said: “The two-day program was designed to educate students on the latest IT developments around the world and build technical competence. We consider such initiatives as highly crucial, particularly with technology education’s enabling role in shaping knowledge-based societies across the Middle East.”

“We encourage students to actively seek future internship and we are committed towards providing all the support to develop the local talents, which in return shall contribute to the country’s growth through technology research and development” Haidar added.
