Networking distributor FVC has hired the former boss of Tech Access Saudi Arabia to manage its own newly-expanded operations in the Kingdom.

Saleh Al-Mutairi, who has 14 years’ experience in the market, will be responsible for overseeing FVC’s Saudi business, which now includes a dedicated executive briefing centre and new offices. He replaces Ahmed Youssef who recently moved to Cairo to oversee FVC’s Egyptian business.

"Our Saudi Arabian operation has doubled its business year-on-year and we needed to double our resources to support our partners in the Kingdom," explained KS Parag, managing director at FVC. "We have a firm commitment to our partners and their customers and want to ensure that the level of service continues to be of the highest level to reflect the vendors we represent."

Al Mutairi is confident of developing FVC’s business in Saudi Arabia and believes the company has the resources to service enterprise-level clients through the channel.

“In today's scenario, ROI is going to be the differentiator and I think that FVC has the expertise and the resources to be the leader in the field of enterprise IT," said Al Mutairi. "Once the new Executive Briefing Centre is complete, we should be able to provide first hand experience, tech cafes and workshops to help our partners and their customers become familiar with leading technologies like Polycom, Google and Tipping Point, among others."

Prior to beginning his career in the distribution channel with Tech Access two years ago, Al Mutairi ran Tejari’s Saudi operation. He has also worked for Aramco, the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and KFUPM.
