Dell and EMC extend global alliance
60,000 network storage solutions have been deployed since the partnership was announced in 2001
Dell and EMC have extended their global partnership, which was announced in 2001, to now last through till 2013.
Additionally, as part of the new agreement, the EMC Celerra NX4 storage system will be added to the portfolio of Dell/ EMC networked storage systems early next year.
“This relationship had its genesis during a challenging time in the economy and a desire by both companies to provide cost-effective solutions to customers who still had to manage ever increasing amounts of information,” said Joe Tucci, EMC chairman, president and CEO.
“The same is true today, and while Dell and EMC are both very different than they were in 2001, we are committed to our mutual customers and to delivering industry-leading technologies that can provide them maximum return on their investment,” Tucci added in a company statement.
60,000 network storage solutions have been deployed to customers as a result of the alliance between Dell and EMC to date.
