Logicom KSA drums up reseller interest
Distributor hopes to have furthered its aspirations in the Saudi market after hosting more than 300 resellers at a series of roadshows
IT distributor Logicom hopes to have furthered its aspirations in the Saudi market after hosting more than 300 resellers at a series of in-country roadshows during the past month.
Along with major suppliers, including Symantec, Intel, Seagate and Linksys, the company held events in Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar to update dealers on its future plans and projects. Logicom claims to have built up a customer base of 400 resellers since launching in Saudi Arabia last year.
Vendor partners at the roadshow also took the opportunity to outline their strategies and meet with the general managers, sales chiefs and purchasing bosses of the resellers in attendance.
Toni Azzi, country manager at Logicom Saudi Arabia, insists the event comes at a time when the distributor is committed to expanding its business in the Kingdom.
“In order to better serve the customers and offer them the best quality services, Logicom has recently moved to its new warehouse in Riyadh and is planning to have a second warehouse in Jeddah to cover the western region,” he explained. “Our objective is simply to be next to our customers and deliver them the products immediately.”
Azzi continued: “On the commercial side, Logicom is planning to increase its sales force to 25 headcounts, fully dedicated to managing the product portfolio and resellers.”
Cyprus-listed Logicom’s Saudi office is its fourth in the Middle East. It also operates subsidiaries in the UAE, Lebanon and Jordan.
