Regional storage integration outfit STME has reinforced its place in NetApp’s regional channel community by returning from its EMEA partner conference with an award recognising its systems engineering ability.

The accolade, which was presented to Houssam Khawajkyia, a systems engineer (SE) at the firm’s UAE branch, was one of 18 SE titles given out, but the only one to be awarded to a Middle East partner.

NetApp claims the SE role remains one of the most significant, as it requires the individual to articulate and develop storage and data management solutions tailored to end-customers.

“Houssam Khawajkyia has proven to be an outstanding advocate of the NetApp value proposition, both with customers and within STME,” said Martyn Molnar, regional director for the Middle East, North and South Africa and Pakistan at NetApp. “He has demonstrated time and again his ability to drive projects from initial discussion through to completion and has proven this in many significant deals with NetApp in this past year.”

As well as paying tribute to its top-performing partners, NetApp used its inaugural EMEA conference, which took place last month, to educate resellers on sales methods based on the technical and business benefits of its products.
