Intel has gone live with its digital education content platform, skoool.com.eg, in Egypt as part of the Egyptian Education Initiative (EEI).

The technology, which is owned and developed by Intel for the World Ahead Program, was localized by Egyptian-based Edu Systems International.

It’s set to be rolled out in schools across the country in an effort to address the present gap in digital education.

The skoool.com.eg platform offers math and science modules tailored to the Egyptian curriculum, encouraging them to use multimedia to learn and interact with students from different schools to share information.

"Student motivation increases significantly with the ability to interact, communicate and collaborate through technology in Arabic," said Dr. Hoda Baraka, director of the EEI and first deputy to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt.

"It is therefore one of our priorities to introduce such education platforms as skoool™.com.eg to Egypt," she added.

"We now have the ability to create and develop knowledge that will help social and economical advancement in Egypt," said Dr. Khaled Elamrawi, Intel's GM for Egypt, Levant and North Africa.
