WatchGuard is presenting the latest in enterprise-level network security appliances, as well as looking to reinforce its presence in the MEA region at this year’s GITEX.

The company, which is exhibiting with its local distributor LinkQuest, is looking to sign new channel partners for Middle East and Africa, to address growing demand.

The WatchGuard stand will feature the WatchGuard XTM 1050, the first extensible threat management (XTM) network security appliance.

Designed for enterprises, campuses, data centers and other high-performance network environments, the WatchGuard XTM 1050 provides 10Gbps firewall via dual quad-core Intel processors and advanced crypto-acceleration hardware.

Eric Aarrestad, vice president of marketing at WatchGuard Technologies said: “Network threats are evolving and becoming more sophisticated, which has a deleterious effect to businesses and consumers. By making network security extensible, WatchGuard takes an unequalled position in the industry. The XTM 1050 embodies our vision of bringing high security and advanced networking functionality in one high-performance, easy to manage and easy to own appliance.”
