Winsoft is responding to the needs of Arabic speaking users by showcasing the new version of its FileMaker Pro 9 product suite at GITEX Technology Week.
FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced product suite is a database system which enables users to organise their office data as simply as possible. The company's Arabic version allows customers to switch between languages and provides conditional formatting for a preferred user's page layout.
"File maker is one step in our strategy to bring well known western software to the Arabic market," explains Kamel Gaddas, vice president of business development strategy for Winsoft.
"The idea is to use efficient software that works well in the west and help to adapt it for Arabic speakers' needs. FileMaker is a database which helps to organise all data in a very simple way.
According to the multi-lingual technology publisher, demand for Arabic software in recent years has steadily increased by around 25-30% across the world.
"This growing demand is the result of an increased Arab expatriate population plus globalisation, which has increased the number of global companies that are seeking to do business within the Middle East," says Pierre Blangero, chairman and chief executive officer of Winsoft.
