Jacky's has unveiled new upgrades for its visitor management solutions at GITEX Technology Week. The two solutions are designed to help companies gather more details about customers while also measuring the efficiency of their staff. Also on show for the first time is an interactive electronic directory.

"Our Queue Management System is designed to understand customer buying habits and patterns while also helping the client understand how quick and efficient their staff are in dealing with customers," says Wajid Abbas, sales manager for Visitor Management Solutions.

Complementing this is an automated Quality of Service (QoS) system, which enables our clients to get feedback about their customers. This can be customised to the need of each client. They can design questions based on the nature of their business. Banks use this all the time to get 360-degree information about their customers and staff."

The new QoS version is web-enabled. It enables information gathering wirelessly. "Previously, we used to have touchscreens and people had to go to the viewing areas to give their feedback. Now, while customers are waiting, they can fill in their information discretely on a gadget."

Jacky's is also demonstrating an interactive electronic directory for the first time at GITEX. "This is a 42" screen with an interactive map that is designed for places like shopping malls, where people might not just want to locate a store but also see how it looks. This is an interactive map; it is mulit-lingual and supports both Arabic and English," explains Abbas.

Each unit has a built-in PC, new application software and an infrared touchscreen. "The Infrared feature is new and more sensitive. It looks better, is more reliable and long lasting as well," adds Abbas.

Jacky's reiterates that it likes to demo new solutions at GITEX because it generates new business for the company. "Here, people come mentally prepared to see new technologies. People from Africa, Asia, Srilanka and Malaysia also come here and discuss potential partnerships with us or want to distribute our products in their respective countries. This is the ideal platform for us to generate a lot of leads at one shot," adds Abbas.
