Excel4Apps, a company which specialises in providing financial reporting solutions using Microsoft Excel as a front-end, will be showcasing their brand new Budget Wand program, an add-on to the existing GL Wand which encases Oracle's entire pre-validation budget uploads.

The company is also displaying its GL Wand application at GITEX Technology Week.

"Excel4apps has been around since 2004, and what we provide is essentially Excel added assistance to Oracle E-Business suite. This then enables you to do general inter-financial reports straight out of Oracle using Excel as a front end," says Shirley  Mincher, global sales manager at Excel4Apps.

"We will be showcasing our product the GL Wand and a new product we launched this year, the Budget Wand."

Budget Wand allows Excel to be used as the front-end to the Oracle General Ledger Budgeting functionality. The company describes Budget Wand as designed for use in creating and editing models, distributing them, the collecting of budget values and then it helping with the validation and upload process.

"We have also had very large global expansion recently. This includes the opening of new offices in the UK and Sydney, as well as recruitment of new staff. We are now looking at a couple of potential partnerships in the Middle East, and expanding operations in the region," says Mincher.

Mincher continues by stating Excel4apps has almost 24 hour technical support, and a high standard of product architecture. The company also claims that it takes customer's opinion and feedback on products and services into careful consideration.

"We are open to future advancements and we take what our customers say very seriously. We are not a company that doesn't listen to our customer after we have sold the product, we try to develop the products around their desires and needs, and their thoughts are always considered. For this reason we have never had a customer leave us," asserts Mincher.

According to Excel4Apps the firm has more than 2000 licensed GL Wand users at over 100 E-Business suite customers around the globe.
