Software company Link Development is meshing business and pleasure with the debut of a business networking solution set to capitalise on the popularity of top social site, Facebook.

Following in the footsteps of initiatives from Visa and other companies, the Egyptian firm has developed an application that allows users to upload their CRMs and do business through Facebook.

The solution, which adapts Microsoft's ‘Dynamics CRM' technology, could help firms manage their relationships with customers, ensure customer satisfaction and ultimately grow their business, says Hanan Abdel Meguid, CEO of Link Development.

"Integrating Facebook as the latest communication medium with customers is another way of adding flexibility and convenience by offering service where users like to be online."

Meguid adds: "Facebook CRM enables businesses to harness the popularity of the site and opens new communication channels.
