Delta out in strong force

Wholesale IT and audiovisual (AV) distributor Delta Business Products Fzco is using GITEX Technolgy Week as the platform for its bid to become the preferred distributor and top technology provider in the Middle East.

Besides showcasing new brands and products across different categories, central to Delta's strategy is the launch of a new, fully-integrated website. According to marketing manager of Delta Business Products Zahid Pervaiz Qureshi, the site will provide clients with full details of products from all the brands it represents.

Using a logistics facility in Jebel Ali, Delta Business Products supplies IT and AV products from more than 55 manufacturers to the whole of the MENA region. And with a network of partners that includes retail giants such as Carrefour, Géant and the Lulu Group, Delta believes it has the necessary capabilities to achieve its financial objectives.

"Recognising the need in the retail sector, we have developed a product line conducive for this segment," Qureshi says. "For this line, we have partnered with some of the major electronic outlets in the region including Plugins, Compu Me, Jacky's, Jumbo Electronics, E-max Electronics and Sharaf DG."

Qureshi adds that Delta is investing further in the Middle East because the retail market is burgeoning in this region and it intends to capitalise on this.
