ADAOX Middle East, the regional business development centre of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, unveils a security solution for mobile devices, ESET Mobile Antivirus.

During GITEX Technology Week, global delegates will hold live ESET Mobile Antivirus demonstrations, and showcase ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 solutions.

GITEX will also serve as a recruitment platform for ADAOX in its bid to attract new channel partners and to boost its presence throughout the MENA region.

Inline with the ever-growing amount of mobile users, Neo Neophytou, managing director for ADAOX Middle East, says the requirement for increased protection devices to warn off attacks is intensifying.

He says ESET Mobile Antivirus, which employs anti-malware software run-off ESET’s ThreatSense heuristic technology, is an effective solution for mobile platforms that have memory, processing and bandwidth constraints.

“One of the biggest challenges facing mobile security is limited memory, processing and bandwidth capabilities, which come with a small platform,” claims Neophytou.

“Traditional antivirus approaches can’t be successfully applied to a mobile environment without significantly impacting the phone’s performance. ESET Mobile Antivirus has a small footprint making it ideal for mobile phones.”
