Raqmiyat, the Oracle-focused systems integrator, claims the small and medium business sector in the Middle East is exhibiting such growth that smaller vendor systems are no longer relevant.

"In the initial stages of the market, SMBs tried to implement smaller solutions and they landed up in trouble," warns Jacob Andrews, program manager at Raqmiyat. "Now even the SMB segment is looking for a decent vendor and a good implementation because they are not able to manage
with the existing small vendor applications."

The UAE-based firm claims that main vendor partner, Oracle's, database and ERP offerings, along with its own complimentary applications are best suited to answer this emerging market trend.

"When your business grows, you are not able to control it with a manual or a small vendor package, you will require an ERP system which controls your organisation as well as your finance," adds Andrews.
