Future Link Commun-ications, a trader of telecommunication and networking products in the Middle East, will use its presence at the GITEX Technology Week this year to grow its brand image among existing and potential customers.

"Being present at GITEX is an effective way of getting your presence noticed in the Middle East market.

"When customers, both exiting and potential, see you at the show, their trust in you improves and they have more confidence in you as a company. This is why the exhibition is of such importance to us," says Camil Rego, technical manager at Future Link.

"We will be displaying products from our suppliers including Austin Taylor of UK, Hubbell Premise Wiring of USA, Techlogiks of Canada, Systel of Canada and Pressac of UK," he adds.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Future Link has been involved in the show, reports Rego, and each year the company has seen the regional IT event become bigger.

While getting leads is of secondary importance, Rego admits that they did get customer leads last year and are expecting more this year.

"We certainly hope that this year is going to be better than last year. People always start calling after the show," says Rego..

"Each year the exhibition keeps getting bigger and bigger and there are more and more people coming," he adds

While the company's focus remains the UAE, it does have offices in other parts of the region including Qatar, Muscat and Kuwait.

Rego adds that the firm is looking to expand, within the UAE and the Middle East, with offices planned in other cities, in the next year or so.
