Trend Micro, a leader in and content security software and services, is showcasing its wide range of security solutions at GITEX Technology Week.

Visitors to Trend Micro's stand will be briefed about its innovative ‘Smart Protection Network,' which is a client-cloud solution that identifies and responds to next-generation web threats.

The latest regional security survey and statistics on internet threat levels also will be made available and discussed.

"Web threats are a major concern for regional businesses, often resulting in severe financial implications," says a spokesperson for the company.

"Trend Micro has been participating at GITEX for nine years, and with the region's IT industry being one of the fastest growing in the world, the event provides the perfect platform to educate regional businesses on how best they can protect themselves."

In addition to demonstrating its products and services, the security vendor is looking to enhance its relationships with partners and resellers.

As a 100% channel-focused sales organisation, the company will promote the products, services and tools available that help resellers profitably support their customers.

Trend Micro will also demonstrate new innovations in gateway security and Data Leakage Protection as well as enhancements to its entire product range. Potential customers will be educated on specific solutions that support enterprises of all sizes, by senior managers and technology experts from Trend Micro's regional and global operations who are present at the show.

"In the Middle East, business and social interaction over the Web is growing exponentially," comments the Trend Micro spokesperson.

"Unfortunately, criminal activity is big business and growing. With new Malware being released every few seconds, the game-plan has changed and Trend Micro is uniquely positioned to respond to that threat."
