NEC Philips caters to vertical markets

Company will showcase IP-based solutions that promote communication.

Unified communications provider NEC Philips is showcasing its IP-based products at GULFCOMMS, and it says they are an ideal solution for the healthcare, hospitality, education and government sectors. NEC Philips, a joint venture between the NEC Corporation and Royal Philips Electronics, is part of NEC’s global enterprise communications business, specialising in providing realtime unified communications (UC).

The Netherlands-based company says organisations are finding it increasingly difficult to ensure their staff are able to handle large amounts of information and use different methods of communication, such as mobile phone, fixed phone, e-mail and IM, efficiently. “The solutions we offer overcome these barriers,” says Paul Kievit, president of NEC Philips Unified Solutions. “With our complete set of advanced applications, terminals and servers, including the newly introduced Univerge SV8000 series, this makes us uniquely positioned to truly change the way businesses communicate.”

Managing director of NEC Philips Middle East and Africa, Frits Neyndorff, adds: “We offer advanced IP-based solutions that unify products, applications and services, enabling organisations to communicate and collaborate more effectively, efficiently and reliably.”

Neyndorff hopes this year’s GULFCOMMS will enable NEC Philips to grow its sales channel and capitalise on its “strong portfolio” of communications platforms as well as mobility and UC solutions.

NEC Philips is showcasing IP products and unified solutions as integrated packages for several different market segments, such as healthcare, hospitality, education, and government. Products and services on show include IP PBXs and communication servers, enterprise networks, wireless infrastructures including (IP) DECT and VoWLAN, wireless handsets and softphones and network management and security as well as the SV8000 series.
