CNet Training has successfully qualified the region's first BICSI-qualified technicians.

The training was conducted over a five day period and sought to expand the attendee’s knowledge of the datacoms industry. The two men, Abdulrahman Ghamdi and Ahmad Harshan, are both employees of Saudi Aramco.

“We are extremely pleased for Abdulrahman and Ghamdi and offer congratulations. We are also proud to deliver the very first BICSI Technicians in the Middle East, it just proves that the demand for BICSI training and qualifications is now truly global,” said Andrew Stevens, managing director of CNet Training.

The course work involved the study of structured cabling systems with the latest standards and methodologies through to planning and specifying, connectors and transmission LAN components. Also discussed during the training was the safety and professionalism element associated with working in the datacoms environment such as installation preparation and customer relations.

“This region is very important to us, so important in fact that our training instructors travel from our UK headquarters to Dubai to ensure consistency of delivery and the same high quality training every time,” explained Stevens.
